Key Vault for Microservices

ServicePlaza now secures all passwords within an encrypted Key Vault system. The Key Vault system is a dedicated microservice that is a kind of password vault.

Approval improvements

The existing approval system has been expanded so that not only technical or commercial approvals, but also other types of approvals are now possible. For this purpose, a so-called user group list can be created, which can contain one or more approvals. These, in turn, can then be assigned to the services or changes to be ordered, so that the specified order is then implemented for approval.

Pre-processing of orders

With the "Pre-processing of orders" extension, pre-processing can be activated for services or changes. This pre-processing allows a ServicePlaza workflow to be executed before the actual order is executed. With this function, the content of an order in ServicePlaza can be changed / adapted. For example, the approvals can be adjusted based on the order parameters.

Authentication via Microsoft Identity Provider

For Release 2.5, alternative authentication via Microsoft is now supported, so that you can authorize yourself with your Office.com credentials. However, a user account in the ServicePlaza is still required.

SP Mitel – Standby numbers

ServicePlaza now enables the ability to manage on-call numbers. Established on-call numbers can be managed by appropriately authorized persons by configuring schedules. There are two schedules for each on-call number. Each schedule can have one or more entries and so the respective phone number can be redirected or not redirected via the time control there.

Furthermore, the administrator can set both fixed holidays (annually recurring) or variable holidays in the settings.
