ServicePlaza Release Notes published: March 2024.

This release note is intended to assist our customers' service personnel with the installation, operation and maintenance of the product discussed here.

No change in resource requirements.
Browser Support
The following browsers are supported with the microservice versions used:
Browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari
For all browsers, only the desktop version (Windows / MAC) is supported, the mobile versions of the browsers have not been tested.
Explanation of version support:
The web frameworks used by ServicePlaza each support the latest version provided by the browser manufacturer. Furthermore, the respective previous version is supported.
Example:
Google Chrome in version 87 is the current version. In this case, version 87 and version 86 are supported.

New Features
Notification Widgets The Widget Feature has been extended to now also support a HTML Widget to place any content in various sized on the Dashboard pages.
Administrators are now able to use the HTML Widget type for any HTML content to for example set contact cards directly in the dashboard.
Mobility / Responsible UI Many UI libraries have been updated to refresh the look and feel of ServicePlaza. A short selection of those are:
- Data Tables
- SP Catalog Menu Selections
- Tiles in ServicePlaza
- Modals in ServicePlaza
We´ve also improved the UI for being more responsible on various mobile devices, like Tablets and Smartphones.
Health & AdminTool Pages A Health Page will help administrators directly in ServicePlaza, for any malfunctions to identify instantly and also show the current version in use.
On the new introducted Admin Tools, you are able to re-trigger stucks orders or change the orders status. Also existing Asset or Service locks may be removed from the Admin Tools page.
Backup Improvements ServicePlaza´s integrated backup system has been updated and improved with more functionality to provide more overview on existing backups, abilities for point in time backups to restore
Catalog - By Employee / Asset ServicePlaza Catalog items now also support a more direct way to create requests by just selecting an asset or an employee.
With the new type "On Asset direct" you are able to just select the asset that are accessible from the rights / role configurations. You may also use the existing Product prefilter to only provide assets that are relevant for your use case.
With the type "On logged in employee (direct)" it will not ask users for additional cost center or organizational unit.
Incidents - By Asset Similar to the previous feature, ServicePlaza incidents catalog items now also support the new type "On Asset direct" you are able to just select the asset that are accessible from the rights / role configurations. You may also use the existing Product prefilter to only provide assets that are relevant for your use case.
Role Permission Search You are now able to search in Rights and Roles by your individual text to find the specific configuration quicker.
