Changes
New Features
Mail Settings – Configurable Encryption Type
ServicePlaza now supports multiple encryption methods for the mail server. Previously, only SSL encryption or no encryption was available.
A new dropdown menu enables selection of the following options: - None - STARTTLS - SSL/TLS
New Filter View in Orders Section
A new filter view has been added to the Orders overview. The enhanced view now allows you to display the creation date for each order.
Instant Order Without Cart
In Settings under Service/Change → Configuration, you can now enable the “Order Directly” option. Once this checkbox is selected, the standard cart workflow is completely bypassed: all other buttons are hidden and only the “Order Directly” button remains, which submits the order immediately.
Deleting Attachments in the Helpdesk
It is now possible to remove uploaded attachments in the Helpdesk. In the attachments overview, a delete icon appears next to each file; clicking it deletes the corresponding attachment. Only users with access to the respective Helpdesk ticket are permitted to delete attachments.
User-initiated Order Cancellation
It is now possible for users to cancel orders themselves. Orders can be canceled during different processing stages, depending on the configured system settings.
In the Order Settings, the dropdown menu "Allow cancellation with status" is available. This allows administrators to define in which statuses an order can be canceled.
Before users are able to cancel orders, they must be granted the appropriate permissions. These rights can be configured for each user role in the Users section.
Once all settings are configured, a "Cancel" button appears in the upper right corner of the order view. Clicking this button cancels the order.
Assigning Locations to Organizational Units
Organizational units (Org Units) can now have specific locations assigned to them. The assignment is performed directly via the user interface of the respective Org Unit where the configuration is required.
Location Filter Based on Organizational Units
Since organizational units (Org Units) now have their own locations, these can also be used as a filter.
The location filter has been integrated into the following application areas:
- Service
- Change
- Termination
- Incident
When the location filter is active, the location assigned to the user's Org Unit is automatically preselected and locked during ordering or service processes. This prevents users from selecting incorrect locations and helps to maintain data accuracy.
Max Order Quantity Limit
A new feature has been added that allows defining a maximum order quantity for services, items, or assets.
This helps prevent users from ordering quantities that exceed the intended limits. Such restrictions can be useful to avoid overordering or to manage inventory due to limited availability or delivery constraints.
The maximum order quantity can be configured in the respective service under the Configuration tab. In the Max orders section, the allowed maximum quantity can be entered.
